As one half of the Neptunes, Chad Hugo has won multiple Grammys, sold hundreds of millions of records, and scooped up a mind-numbing number music industry accolades from ASCAP, Billboard, and an endless list of others. As one-third of N*E*R*D, Hugo has toured the globe and inspired an entire generation of listeners with the band’s unique amalgam of rock, soul, and hip-hop. Hugo has now joined forces with Baltimore-based DJ Daniel Biltmore to form MSSL CMMND.

On his own, Biltmore has well over a decade of experience behind the decks, and conquered multiple continents with his versatile approach to DJing. Starting in college radio, where Daniel shared the airwaves with Peter Rosenberg (Hot97) and Dave Nada (the creator of Moombahton), he has since performed for clients as varied as Microsoft and President Obama.

Debuting with a mix on the influential Fool’s Gold label (A-trak, Duck Sauce, Kid Cudi), the two have taken their sonic landscapes on the road, hitting the decks in Bali, Singapore, Germany, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, Manila, Paris, and countless other far-reaching locales. MSSL CMMND was part of the inaugural Identity Festival Tour, where they shared the stage with Skrillex, Kaskade, Steve Aoki and Avicii. Nationally, the DJ duo was commissioned by MOOGFEST to put together the festival’s first music and tech mash-up, and has hit the stages of SXSW, Bonnaroo, and more. Musical luminaries such as Daft Punk, The Black Keys, Foster the People and De La Soul have witnessed MSSL CMMND’s avant-garde DJ sets.

Armed with a deep reservoir of off-kilter original productions and new takes on classics, MSSL CMMND give a nod towards the legacy forged by their creators, and slam on the accelerator to go somewhere entirely new.
